You can completely personalize your checks by adding a background picture and a personal or business logo in full color. You can also customize the font style and color and the program is equipped with a MICR font that will print at the bottom of each check.

Some check writing software companies allege that printing the MICR line with magnetic toner is no longer necessary because of advances in new optical reading technology. However, based on our research, we feel it’s still important to print the MICR line with magnetic toner so we recommend printing the entire check with MICR (magnetic) toner. The home bookkeeping features from VersaCheck allow you to view or print reports that include information on cash flow, checking transactions and account balances. The program will also generate full color graphs of net worth, income and expenses.

For small businesses, you can view or print a balance sheet, inventory list, estimates and invoices, and sales reports by customer or project.

Ease of Use:  

VersaCheck has an attractive graphical user interface (GUI), a full menu toolbar and several icons to help you navigate the program. The layout makes it easy to explore on your own; although, a user manual is included with the program.

A wizard will walk you through account setup and check design. And as your customizing your checks, the program will remind you if you have left out any important check fields before moving on to the next design step.

Writing a check is very simple. A graphic of a check is shown on the computer screen with account information like your name and address and your bank’s name and address automatically entered in the proper fields. The pay to the order of, date, amount, memo and reference fields are left blank; simply click on each field and enter the desired text.

Ease of Installation/Setup:  

To use VersaCheck Platinum, you will need an IBM or Pentium II processor, 120 megabytes of hard disk space, 150 megabytes for the .NET framework and a minimum of 64 megabytes of RAM. The program is compatible with Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP and Vista. To print checks you will need an inkjet or laser printer, check stock and a MICR toner cartridge.

VersaCheck Platinumis easy to install but takes a little more time than other check writing programs because of all the graphics files included with the software.
